Great news for German translators worldwide: In early May 2011, the Duden put its Duden Rechtschreibung and Deutsches Universalwörterbuch online. These are invaluable language tools for translators and are provided free of charge.

Duden online not only provides definitions for German words, but also offers an online spelling and grammar check for German texts.

In addition, there are audio examples of correct word pronunciation, images and German language games.
