Multilingual Menu at the Zinnkrug in Kitzbuhel, Austria

Living and working in Austria, we are often presented with incomprehensible multilingual menus filled with amusing translation errors. With this in mind, it was particularly nice to visit the Zinnkrug in Kitzbuhel, Austria, and read their beautifully designed multilingual menu.

Their German-English translation is not perfect and their dish descriptions certainly don’t make your mouth water. However, the simple translations combined with good photos and an attractive layout creates a really effective multilingual menu.

We still advocate paying for a professional translation of menus. A good translation doesn’t simply enable guests from multilingual backgrounds to make a good choice, but can also attract customers, sway selections towards your preferred dishes and drive repeat business. However, overall I would say that this is one of the nicest multilingual menu designs that I have ever seen. And as an added bonus, the food is fantastic too!
